Hi all, and thanks Allie for having me today.

I’m really excited about my new release, Scarlett Legacy, which is a paranormal romance inspired by the fairytale of Little Red Riding Hood. Today, I wanted to talk a little bit about the characters, and in particular what happens when they don’t want to behave (hmm, which may be most of the time!). Now, I’ve been writing for a couple of years now so have kind of got used to my characters never bothering to listen to me – I politely suggest that they might want to do this, or head in this direction and they blissfully (or sometimes it seems quite deliberately) ignore me completely and do whatever they feel like. Which is most often than not the complete opposite! I’ve learned to smile, nod and simply follow along behind, after all, I tell myself, it’s their story and I’m just along for the ride.

A slightly less common problem though is when my characters just don’t want to talk to me at all – and Damian in Scarlett Legacy was a most irritating example of this. Now, normally, I love the strong and silent type – and Damian definitely has that alpha male vibe going on – but it can be taken too far when you don’t want to talk to your own author. His excuse tended up be; but Natalia can tell you what happened. *sighs* Well, yes, but only her side! I think the big bad wolf was actually a bit worried about coming off as sweet and vulnerable at times. Well, I’m saying nothing but he might be cursing me at certain points!

Anyway, I think it was worth dragging it kicking and screaming out of him, and when you read it then I hope you agree. I think it’s probably par for the course to be a little bit in love with all your heroes, but Damian is definitely one of my favourites so far and I can’t wait for my readers to meet him.

I’ve really enjoyed being here today, and if you want to know more then please follow me at:

Blurb:

Who’s afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

When Natalia rents a holiday cottage she is looking for peace and quiet, a place to reassess her life and recover from her failed relationship. Instead she finds a man who turns her world upside down.

However, people and things are not as they seem, and Natalia begins to find that legends are real and fairy tales have a basis in reality. As she grows closer to the enigmatic Damian she finds herself tested as danger and passion go in hand in hand, and everything she thought she knew about the world will be questioned.

After years of waiting Damian had given up hope that he would ever find his destined mate, and he certainly never expected her to be a sassy American who has no idea that his world even exists. Can he convince Natalia to believe in the impossible, and more importantly, can he protect her from those who seek to destroy his people.
