As one year ends, another begins… #reflections #amwriting

Wow, this year has brought about some changes.

This time last year, Sean’s Sweetheart was my only title. It was out from Secret Cravings. Since then, Secret Cravings closed and I got the rights back. Sean’s Sweetheart has been newly revised and re-published. You can check out bits of the next in series, Claire’s Crush, in my #WIPWeds posts.

I released two titles in a separate series, Free Will. The first book, Free Pass, came out in June and the second, Do Over, came out in December. I’ve learned that people either love or hate Free Pass. There will be at least one more title in the Free Will series.

I’ve learned that staying exclusive to Amazon isn’t worth it to me. I recently went wide to all retailers with all my titles and don’t have a single regret thus far about doing so. My books are still available at Amazon, of course, but not through Kindle Unlimited.

I’m still plugging away at my bachelor’s degree. Only 5 more classes and I will be finished. I haven’t decided yet if grad school is in the cards for me…

I read a lot of good books, some of which I reviewed here: The Air He Breathes, Dirty English, Undercover In Six Inch StilettosTo Wish Upon a Roman, and The Game Plan

So… What can you look forward to seeing from me this year?

  • Claire’s Crush—book 2 in the Garden Falls series
  • One Shot—book 3 in the Free Will series
  • book 3 in the Garden Falls series
  • Book 1 in a new series I have been working on for a bit. I’m excited about this one, but need to tie up at least one of the existing series first. I don’t want to get too crazy.

And maybe, just maybe, I might finish that historical I started two years ago.

On the blog, you can look forward to #WIPWeds continuing. Each week will be a new excerpt from my current work in progress. I also plan to have a book review each week for my #fridayreads blog series starting tomorrow with In The Shadow Of The Shield.

I’m also embarking on a healthier lifestyle, so if you follow me on social media you will see more about that. I’m starting a new blog detailing my progress at Combating Author Butt. If getting in shape, healthy recipes, and/or following an author’s journey from flabby to fit interests you, come follow along. I’d love the company.

I just have to say, I laughed out loud at “Combatting Author Butt!” I have Author Butt, I’m pretty sure!

Congratulations on all of your books. Sounds like you’ve been hard at work.

Ha, well, it is fitting. My butt has definitely expanded since I have been writing.
Do you need to combat author butt with me? 🙂
