The Air He Breathes is the first book in ages to make me sad cry, laugh, happy cry, yell at my Kindle, and cuss… all at a single story. So many emotions… I read this days ago, and it left me too ragged to write a review until now. In fact, my teenage son asked me while I was reading it if I was having a mental breakdown or if I needed medication.
This is easily the best book I’ve read all year.
Tristan and Elizabeth are both grieving. This is the story of how they manage to find light in that darkness, when at times they would rather just let the darkness consume them. Sometimes the obstacles thrown them seem too much to overcome and left me holding my breath until the end.
Now I am just waiting for Faye’s story. She is too great of a side character to not get a story of her own. (Hint, hint, Brittainy!!)
Here’s the link to it at Amazon, if anyone wants to pick it up: The Air He Breathes.
